Max, a genuinely agentic assistant: ask from anywhere, and it can act, with your approval

An assistant is only useful if it can both find things and do things, safely. Max now does both. Press Cmd+J anywhere and ask in plain language, and Max answers by running a bounded, read-only loop over your firm's own data, so an answer is grounded in what is actually there rather than guessed. When you want it to act, it does not act on its own: an allowlisted bulk action is proposed as a confirm card that spells out exactly what will happen, and nothing runs until you approve it. The routines you repeat can be saved as multi-step workflows. And because a household is more than one taxpayer, Max reads across a group's related returns and entities so an answer covers the whole picture.

Ask from anywhere, answered from your own data

Cmd+J opens Max on any page, and it answers by looking, not by guessing.

  • Press Cmd+J from anywhere in the app to ask Max a question in plain language, without leaving what you are doing.
  • Max answers by running a bounded, read-only loop over your firm's own data, so its answer reflects the real state of your clients and work rather than a canned guess.
  • The loop is read-only by construction, so simply asking a question never changes anything.

It can act, behind a confirm card you approve

Allowlisted bulk actions come back as a card that says exactly what will happen.

  • When you ask Max to do something, an allowlisted bulk action is proposed as a confirm card that lays out precisely what it will touch and change.
  • Nothing runs until you approve the card, so an action is always your decision, not the assistant's.
  • The set of actions Max can take is an explicit allowlist, so it can help with the work you expect and cannot reach beyond it.

Save the routines you run often

A multi-step sequence you repeat becomes a saved workflow.

  • Turn a multi-step routine you run regularly into a saved workflow, so a sequence you would otherwise retype becomes one step.
  • Each step still passes through the same confirm-before-acting control, so a saved workflow is a shortcut, never a blank check.

Group-aware across a household

A question about a family or an owner and their entities is answered across all of them.

  • Max reads across a group's related taxpayers, so a question about a household or an owner and their entities is answered over all of them at once rather than one record at a time.
  • When a client belongs to several engagements, Max asks which one you mean before it acts, so an action never lands on the wrong work.
